So I recently started researching things and going places that interest me, as opposed to waiting for something to sort of fall into my lap. I knew I wanted to go to another comedy show soon and was randomly driving to work when I heard about tickets for the Joe Clair’s Comedy Show on WPGC 95.5’s Joe Clair Morning radio. I’ll be honest, I’ve heard about all sorts of shows at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club, but never visited for some reason. It was more of a "I'll catch the next one" kinda thing. So right then and there, I decided I was going to the show and getting my ticket as soon as I got into work. A bit impulsive but, seriously, why not? I quickly found a friend to go with and had tickets (affordable by the way) all before I checked my work emails! Yes, it was definitely a swift motion and decision lol. My dinner/comedy show night was all set.
Fast forward to the show, It was HILARIOUS and mind you, I’m an excellent judge of funny! I loved the vibe of the crowd and the night. I was easily one of the youngest patrons but I didn’t feel that way at all. Hanging out with the ‘grown’ crowd is always fun (note: I didn’t say the 'old' crowd now haha). I felt welcomed and most importantly, all of the comics had me in tears pretty much the entire time lol. I can't wait go back and see what other great events this venue has to offer, especially being in the heart of downtown Bethesda, which is a beauty in itself!
Who doesn’t like a good laugh and a live band? Even so, I’m a big fan of anything live, including art, music, poetry, jazz, plays, comedy, etc. And who wouldn't love a dinner and show when Eric Benet is going to be in the building!? HINT HINT, I know I sure would lol. If you haven’t checked out the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club, you’re missing out. This spot is perfect for a cute date night or girls night out for those who share a common interest in jazz and blues (what it’s more popular for) or comedy!
